Terms of Use
Last updated 28 September 2026
Short version: play nicely, the free games stay free, paid themes are a one-time purchase for the host, and you can ask for a refund within 30 days.
Who we are
Rucksy (rucksy.fun) makes party games you play in the browser. By using the site you agree to these terms. Questions: support@rucksy.fun.
Playing
- Candlewake and the other free games are free to play. You don't need an account.
- Choose nicknames and chat messages that are fine for everyone at your table. We may close rooms that are used to harass people or break the law.
- Rooms are temporary. They close after a few hours without activity, and a game in progress can be lost if the site has a problem. We work hard to avoid that, but we can't promise it.
Paid themes
- Some themes are paid. Only the person hosting the room needs to unlock a theme; everyone who joins that room plays it free.
- A purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription. It gives you an unlock key that keeps working for that theme for as long as Rucksy offers it. A bundle unlocks the themes it describes; for a "pick" bundle you choose the themes the first time you use the key, and that choice is final.
- Payments are handled by Gumroad, who is the merchant of record and sells to you on our behalf. Gumroad's terms also apply to the purchase, and your receipt and license key come from them.
- Your key is for you and your own game nights. Please don't post it publicly. Keys that are refunded, charged back or shared publicly may stop working.
- Some paid themes are free to host for a limited time as part of a weekly rotation. A theme that is free this week may need a key next week.
Refunds
See the refund policy.
Our content
The games, art, sounds, words and code on Rucksy belong to Rucksy. You may stream or record your games and share them, as long as you don't claim the games as your own or sell them.
No warranty
Rucksy is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running and fair, but we don't promise it will always be available or free of bugs. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for a paid theme is limited to what you paid for it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will not take away a theme you paid for without offering a refund.
